关于潮州节
2014年，新加坡潮州八邑会馆首次举办《潮州节》这个大型综合性的文化活动，目的在提升社区对会馆的认识和对潮州文化与习俗的了解，也让更多年轻人，非潮籍华人和其他种族了解潮州文化。于此同时，团结所有的潮州人。该次活动吸引了10万人参观。2016年，于滨海湾金沙展厅举行的第二届潮州节吸引了15万人次参观。
有別以往，在冠病疫情笼罩下，2021潮州节通过线上”虚拟潮州村”的方式举行。
潮州村里设有不同展区，欢迎到”优联中央大舞台”观看直播节目；到”南华剧场”看潮剧，听潮曲;进入”潮语学堂”学习潮语、到”历史习俗馆”、”潮汕展区”、”工艺品展厅”参观，累了就到购物街、美食街点美食外卖、订购纪念品留念，让我们一边吃着餐馆、小贩精心调配的潮州美食，一边继续浏览、参与潮州村的各项活动，重温、认识潮汕文化。

A Bigger Teochew Festival To Wow Visitors
The first Teochew Festival was organised in 2014 by Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan (TPIHK). That inaugural effort attracted 100,000 visitors. The second festival in 2016 was another resounding success, with 150,000 visitors flocking to the event venue at Marina Bay Sands.
The prevailing health situation propelled TPIHK to fully harness creativity and innovation. The outcome is an online festival that transcends temporal, geographical and demographical boundaries.
Similar to the earlier festivals, this online event with a contemporary twist aims to promote the Teochew culture to the general public, especially the younger generation. It also seeks to integrate our society through the use of relatable and appealing content.
The adopted format for this online festival is a virtual Teochew village. The village comprises different zones that offer a variety of programmes such as Teochew opera, language learning, art and craft, food street, virtual tours and Miss Teochew beauty pageant.
The online engagement will be facilitated through activities such as live chats, interviews, e-shopping of food items and sales of artworks. The compact and curated programmes will be refreshed on a daily basis. The virtual village has a central stage that will be the focal point for live highlights such as the opening and closing ceremonies. This online festival is materialised with the collaboration of Nam Hwa Opera Limited, as well as the support of Chui Huay Lim Club and the seven other local Teochew clan associations.
