南华潮剧社 Nam Hwa Opera

南华潮剧社有幸作为此次潮州节的协办单位，搭起了“南华潮剧社”的戏台，为大家送上精彩纷呈的节目。从长篇潮剧大戏，到折子戏，少儿专场，还有潮州时代歌曲，潮州歌谣，以及潮州音乐 ，10天的潮州节我们好戏不间断! 不容错过的故事之一将是 《赵少卿》。 该剧讲述了一代名将赵少卿，其子赵俊强胡作非为，横行三吴州郡。巡按郭佳，奉旨视察三吴，救起被兄迫害的赛英，广才也得以逃脱。后巡按微服暗访，被诱至赵府，活活打死。时年不久，陈广才、赵赛英两人中状元，双双告发赵俊强恶行。赵少卿以社稷为重，回苏州查办此案。赵俊强恶行昭彰，罪无可恕。遂大义灭亲，将赵俊强处死，谱写了一曲千秋共颂的赞歌。
Nam Hwa Opera is proud to be the co-organiser of the 3rd edition Teochew Festival. This year, we have set up a virtual Nam Hwa Opera staage where we bring you interesting classic stories over the 10 days of virtual Festival.
One of the stories not to be missed will be the “The Guilty Son”
It tells the story of a great general Zhao Shaoqing and how he placed righteousness above family. Zhao Zijun, the son of Zhao Shaoqing, has been one big bully in Sanwu county and committed several serious crimes and even tried to murder his younger sister, Zhao Saiying, to cover up one of his crimes. Saiying escaped, disguised as a scholar, and came out first in the highest imperial examination. Together with another scholar who also took the first place in the highest imperial examination, Chen Guangcai, Saiying exposed all Zijun’s crimes. Shaoqing then returned to Suzhou to investigate and confirmed that all accusations against Zijun were true. Between his very own son and the justice, Shaoqing chose the latter and sentenced Zijun to death.
